Course Description
This course provides advanced coverage of accounting concepts and the use of accounting information for managerial decision-making. It is enhanced by case studies and the use of problem sets to discuss and analyze the costing techniques, the use of accounting data in planning and evaluating managerial performance, and the use of accounting data in short-run and long-run decisions. It is covered through topics including understanding management accounting and the business environment-JIT&TQM, cost behavior analysis and use, cost-volume-profit analysis, variable costing, profit planning and budgeting, flexible budget and overhead analysis, transfer pricing, relevant costs for decision making.

Course Description
This course explores ways and techniques used to control costs, revenues, and profitability in food and beverage operations. After being familiar with the concepts of the food and beverage and control function, the students will learn how to plan for the food and beverage cost control, design effective food and beverage control systems, and determine food and beverage standards. The students also will learn the concepts of the hospitality purchasing management and how purchasing, receiving, storing, issuing systems affect food and beverage cost control objectives. Other areas affecting the food and beverage control systems will also be discussed, including production control, sales and income control, labour costs control, and the applications of technology in food and beverage cost planning.

The objective of this course is to imply the basic finance principals on multinational companies and international markets by the help of case studies. Thus, it builds on and extends the valuation framework provided by domestic corporate finance to account for dimensions unique to international finance and focuses on decision-making in an international context. The aim of this course is to provide an understanding of statistical tools that can be useful in a business environment. The main focus of the course is to provide an understanding of the statistical concepts that provide the basis of further statistical analysis. The course covers the following topics: descriptive statistics, data analysis (graphical descriptions of data, numerical descriptive measures), probability, random variables (discrete random variables and continuous random variables), probability distribution, sampling distribution, point estimation and interval estimation.
