Programme Learning Outcomes

Key Learning Outcomes;

Graduates of the programs will be able to;
  1. Has sufficient knowledge and proficient skills in mathematics, science and civil engineering related topics.
  2. Use mathematics, science and civil engineering related knowledge and skills to solve engineering problems.
  3. Using their skills and knowledge in civil engineering to define problem as well as analyze and select the appropriate mathematical methods and modeling techniques in developing solutions.
  4. Has ability to ensure the integrity between construction design/planning activities and research in terms of matching theory with practice.
  5. Analyzes and designs a system, system components, or process to meet desired needs under realistic constraints as well as implements the methods of modern design accordingly.
  6. Chooses modern techniques and tools as well as follows developments in information technology, and can effectively use computer software at advanced level of European Computer License Requirements.
  7. Designs experiments, develops computer-aided simulation as well as collects data, analyze results and can make comments on findings.
  8. Performs individually and independently in an advanced study in civil engineering and works and serve effectively in teams consist of individuals from different disciplines.
  9. Takes responsibility to solve complex problems as individual and as a team member and can develop leadership skills as well as can manage individuals working under his/her responsibility effectively.
  10. Has the ability access to information and search, find resources/databases on this purpose, as well as have the knowledge and skills to critically evaluate the findings.
  11. Internalize the philosophy of lifelong learning and contemporary issues, developments in the field of civil engineering by following the development of professional skills and becomes self motivated.
  12. Communicate effectively orally and using written language techniques to follow developments in civil engineering and speaks at least one foreign language at European Language Portfolio B1 level.
  13. Communicates with relevant institutions in the discipline and shares ideas, proposes solutions to problems by supporting qualitative and quantitative data using the necessary technical drawing tools.
  14. Has awareness in workplace practices, employee health, safety issues as well as is aware of the consequences of civil engineering applications in national, global, economic, environmental context.
  15. Has understanding of social, scientific,cultural, professional and ethical responsibilities as well as organizes, implements projects, activities for the society with a sense of social responsibility.
