This course explores the changing landscape of international relations in the context of globalization. It focuses on important themes that have become prominent since the end of the Cold War. The main goal of the course is to enhance understanding of international relations by examining (a) the complex economic and political aspects of globalization, (b) key issues in international relations such as global governance, democratization on a global scale, counterterrorism efforts, and (c) significant case studies including American hegemony, the Global Economic Crisis, global security dynamics, and Turkey's role in international affairs. Active student participation and reading course material before attending the lectures are expected and required. | |
