Faculty of Applied Sciences
Faculty of Applied Sciences is the academic unit that has most recently joined the administrative structure of BİLGİ. Having been founded as a result of bringing together the four strong schools of our university in 2022, the faculty now maintains the established applied science tradition under the roof of the faculty. As part of Faculty of Applied Sciences, Logistics Management, Aviation Management, Tourism Management, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Sports Management, and Textile and Fashion Design departments actively provide educational activities.
Our Faculty acts in line with the vision of raising the qualified staff members who will increase the competitive power of the region and the country in the disciplinary fields that it harbors in its structure and becoming one of the competitive universities in the international field in terms of conducting scientific research contributing to the relevant scientific fields. In accordance with this, the faculty takes it as its mission to acquire international recognizability, to raise alumni who are preferred in the sector, to provide direction to the relevant sectors with its alumni and scientific studies, to carry out activities ensuring that it will become the driving force for the economy of the region and country by providing high level education, conducting scientific studies and engaging in publication activities.
On the basis of this vision and mission, as the Faculty of Applied Sciences, we support the academic, professional, and individual development of our students at every phase of their education with our strong academic staff. It is one of our main goals that they will graduate as individuals who can adapt to the rapidly changing current world, are equipped with current and international competencies, have good communication and problem-solving skills, and are able to think analytically.
At the same time, in line with our university’s reputable and privileged education adopting the motto ‘Learning not for school but for life’, one of the most important priorities of our faculty is to make sure that students gain experience in their chosen disciplines within life. We support the professional development of our students with programs preparing them for professional life, with obligatory and voluntary internships, and by offering ‘learning by doing’ opportunities on our campuses and ensuring that our students gain experience through learning about the professional areas in which they will work in the future. In accordance with this, we also aim to make sure that our students become experts in their chosen disciplines and quickly adapt to the professional life after their graduation.
Our students will have the chance to receive an education that is integrated with the relevant sectors thanks to the collaborations and agreements that will be established between our faculty and the institutions that has become international brands.
In this way, upon their graduation, our students will become executive candidates who will increase the standards of the relevant sectors by combining theory and practice in an ideal manner thanks to the strong infrastructure that they will have in terms of theory and quantitative and digital competencies required by our current world.
